The Area
The NOR-MAN Regional Health Authority (NRHA) is an innovative and growing organization that serves a culturally diverse population of 26,000 spread across more than 72,000 square kilometers. With our crystal clear lakes and endless boreal forest, the Norman region is a four seasons playground. Spend your long summer days golfing, sailing, fishing or just relaxing at one of our beautiful lakes. Your winter activities may include cross-country skiing, sowmobiling a number of recreational sports, or sitting by a cozy fire.
Our region offers quiet, comfortable living with many amenities such as post-secondary education, libraries and recreational facilities close to home. With an abundance of activities to choose from, family fun is easy to find. You can live and work here, enjoying the best of the outdoors while you build a satisfying career in health care.
The Facilities
The NRHA provides health care to our growing population through 3 major facilities located in Flin Flon, Snow Lake, and The Pas. We also service a number of outlying communities in the region. Our networked hospitals create a seamless continuum of care, taking an interdisciplinary approach to health care. We provide a variety of Acute Care services such as emergency, pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics, psychiatry, dialysis, chemotherapy, and palliative care. The NRHA's acute care team also offers a wide range of allied health services including pharmacy, lab, rehabilitation, and emergency medical services. In effort to stay current, our diagnostic imaging service is equipped with a modern CT scan, Ultrasound, X-Ray and Fluoroscopy capabilities. The region is also devoted to our elderly and chronically ill. Our long term care Linkages with various community based facilities such as our addictions center and Primary health care Centers help to extend care into the community. Primary health care provides various health promotion programs as well as a variety of other services that range from retinal screening and mental health to diabetes education and midwifery.
